CWRC 2nd Annual St. Patty's Day Run!

This year was our running club's 2nd annual St. Patty's Day Run. Last year the weather was perfect and we were running in shorts. This year, the weather wasn't going to be so cooperative. I guess it still is winter, but we have had a few 70 degree days! The weather was quite cold and windy so I kinda expected a low turnout.

We created an event and put it all over FaceBook. Our neighborhood civic organization also promoted it for us and a few board members even came out! There were a few emails going back and forth to see if it was cancelled due to the weather. But, if you are a runner, you know we run in anything!

We met this past Tuesday night for our run and needing a group picture as the local newspaper is going to put us in one of their issues soon.

We are just amazed at the amount of people that joined us in the very cold and blustery weather-36 people!! We hope that those who came out for our St. Patty's Run will start to join us when the weather starts to warm up ;-)

Once we were done, about 20 of us headed over to Dirty Franks West. They agreed to extend their happy hour for our group until 9pm and we love to support our local businesses! It was so nice to sit, eat and visit with everyone after a successful run.

I am looking forward to when the weather turns and we can continue to grow our group and promote movement on the Westside of Columbus!

Make my day and leave me a note! And please don't forget to follow me too! :-)
