Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Carl went to see his dad in South Carolina so it was just me. I went over to my parents after work on Wednesday and spent the night. My brother, sister in law, their 3 kids and new puppy stayed too. It was nice to have the family all together!

I'm a vegetarian so my mom always makes sure I have something to eat besides meat...she is the best; thanks mom! We had corn casserole ( that was AMAZING), mashed potatoes, spinach puffs, cottage cheese, rolls. Then instead of a pumpkin pie, mom made a pumpkin dessert that was pie like but better, IMO.

You have heard of the Mannequin challenge that has taken over Facebook, right? We did our own Thanksgiving version-

Runners World is putting on a running streak where you commit to running at least a mile from Thanksgiving day to New Years. The run streak is designed to keep you running through the holiday season, and to bridge the gap between fall races and training for the spring. I find it easier to keep running when there is a goal in place! I am running a half marathon on Saturday so I wanted to keep my run today easy. I ended up with 4 nice miles; and to help battle the food I ate  :-)

I will be posting to my FB and to Instagram to keep me accountable through this challenge. You can follow me on FB (just send me a friend request) or Instagram to track my activity!
