Trying new things..

This past week has been just crazy! I had something planned just about every night after work this past week.  I did, however, try something new on Wednesday and am going back for more...yoga. I have never tried yoga before and one of the girls in our run club invited me to go. I signed up for the series and the good part...it's free! The first session was Wednesday night at 6:30. The cool part is that it also incorporates running. The group ran for about 40 minutes before, then at 7:30, we did 45 minutes of yoga. I made a beeline to the back of the room as I have no freaking idea what to expect and didn't want to look like a fool in front of all these people! Once it was over, I was happy I went. I am always down for new experiences. And I do need to add other activities into my life besides running. This was a perfect match.

Friday night when I got home from work, I was so exhausted but I resisted from taking a nap and Carl and I hopped in the car and went downtown for a run.

I just love the Columbus skyline; I will never get tired of looking at it. Right after I took this picture, we ran by a raccoon on the side of the trail. I ran a bit faster right by him.

The sun was out and the sky was just beautiful! I had to snap this picture of all the flags waving in the wind at Huntington Park. Our total mileage was 6 miles...I felt amazing and glad I didn't take that nap otherwise I would have missed out on exploring the city on a Friday evening. #neverregretaworkout
